weight update

I went to the nutritionist and surgeon today.  This is my second visit since surgery at the end of October.  I have now lost a total of 38.5 pounds!  Gone are 5 inches around my waist!  Most importantly, my blood pressure is down!!! 

After my second back surgery, my blood pressure went up and stayed up.  High blood pressure runs in my family and every woman in the family has had a stroke because of it.  I had been lucky until my thirties and then the back trouble hit and the blood pressure went through the roof.  I was taking 3 different medications and it still was not controlled.  It was nothing for it to hover around 220/215 on a regular basis.  But today, I am down to one medication and it was 110/70!!! When I heard that number I am sure it must have shot up.  I am also off the metformin - I hated that medicine.  Wow, what a difference.

Wow girl you are doing fabulous!!!!  I am so happy for you!!  You results are so great and that is so encouraging... your blood pressure   How great is that!!
